Miss no Prints with Gmail & Google Cloud Print

Yes, I did have some reservations about cloud printing via web-connected HP printers. But I admitted then that sending print jobs via e-mail is great. Here comes Google cloud print app and gmail that will enable anyone to print to their printers from anywhere and (almost) anytime.
The apps not only allow you to send print jobs from your gmail but also puts your print job in queue in the "cloud" in case the printer is off (or Google Cloud print connector is off). This means documents to be printed can be put in queue while in transit. When the printer is on or (online), it will then download the print job and start printing immediately. This really make sense. But if your company is always on, then you can print important document every time.
As of now, only on computers in Windows and those who can access gmail via iOS or Android can run the feature. Supported document types include *.pdf and .doc files. The gmail blog said that this will be rolled out in the US in the next few days.
I just checked now, and I need to download the latest Google chrome beta version in order to connect my printer to the Google Cloud print. And of course, this feature is in its relative infancy but I'm sure you can imagine too the possibilities.

Everyday, solutions are coming up for us to be able to print when we need to. And if the only thing that concern you is the price of print consumables, then you should try out alternative toner replacements like compatible HP toners, Brother toners and Samsung toners.
